WAKE's Advisory Board is comprised of dedicated professionals and leaders who bring a wealth of experience, insight, and passion to support our work. Their strategic guidance and sustained engagement are crucial to our ability to drive impact and expand our programs globally. Meet the individuals who partner with us to shape the future of WAKE.
Over the last 15 years, I have discovered and deepened my passion for driving social impact through technology. This has led me to build solutions that impact peoples' lives through my work. I also advise nonprofits and mentor women on topics like leveraging technology to amplify their impact and unconventional career pathways in tech. I am the Product Lead for Visibility and Execution at Uber Freight, where I lead cross-functional teams working on critical parts of our logistics platform. Prior to Uber, I spent over 6 years at GoDaddy building Website Builder and productivity solutions for Small and Medium Businesses. I'm grateful that I get to apply both my MBA (Kellogg) and MPA (Harvard) education in my work.
Before pivoting to tech, I managed technology-driven empowerment programs sponsored by the US State Department in the MENA region at the Institute of International Education. I was on the founding team for the immensely successful mentoring and exchange program, TechWomen, and continue to be involved as a mentor. In fact, it was at IIE that I worked closely with the WAKE co-founders, who exemplified the power of well-run programs based on strong partnerships. It is the desire to use technology to help social justice organizations scale and grow that has me rooting for WAKE and serving on its Board since its inception.
Originally from New Delhi, India, I spent 6+ years studying and working in Japan before moving to San Francisco. Fluent in Japanese, Hindi and Oriya, I have traveled to over 50 countries and love exploring the world with my family.
I co-founded WAKE with a mission to connect women’s rights and social justice leaders and their organizations with allies, expertise and resources to help advance their critical work. I’m thrilled to work with this Advisory Board to continue to strengthen and expand WAKE, its programs and community.
Prior to WAKE, I was at the Institute of International Education (IIE), where I helped found its Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives, and designed and led several of its large international women’s leadership programs, including as founding director of TechWomen, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State.
Now, as founder of ConvergeWell®, I support purpose-driven individuals to thrive personally and professionally while prioritizing their wellbeing. I blend my background in designing and leading capacity building and training for nonprofits, social entrepreneurs and women leaders with my expertise and credentials in integrative health, coaching and wellbeing practices and modalities, to provide impactful programs for individuals and organizations. Through evidence-based practices, facilitation, training and coaching, I guide individuals to cultivate resilience, manage energy and stress, and amplify their impact, while nurturing their wellbeing.
I hold master’s degrees in Integrative Health and in International Policy, and certifications in health and wellness coaching (NBC-HWC), immersive coaching, transformative imagery and guided meditation. I live in San Francisco with my husband, two teenage daughters, a dog, two cats and two bunnies and enjoy gardening, yoga, walks with friends, beading, reading and studying, podcasts, (coaching!) and caring for my houseplants.
With two decades of creative leadership experience, I specialize in design and branding for individuals, entrepreneurs, and diverse businesses. I take pride in crafting compelling brands that further the goals of my clients, including websites, social media templates, presentations, graphics, UX design, and marketing materials. Driven by a passion for storytelling, I bring this focus to my designs for web and mobile platforms. Emphasizing clean lines, strategic white space, a pop of color, and a hint of cheeky humor (I am British, after all!) I collaborate with a diverse set of clients, from authors and artists to financiers, surfers, Fortune 500 companies, startups, non-profits and ad agencies.
Believing in the uniqueness of every individual, brand, and company, I am dedicated to uncovering and communicating their authentic and distinctive stories. When I am not researching the latest design trends and technologies, I enjoy lively conversations over coffee or wine with my friends, hitting the California trails and beaches with my dog Skipper, and exploring the great outdoors on adventures with my family.
