WAKE’s US-based programs support mission-driven organizations tackling critical issues across the United States.Advisors have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that address pressing social issues right here at home. These programs enable professionals to drive meaningful change in their own communities, build local networks, and make a tangible impact on the causes they care about most.
This year, Tech2Empower will focus on supporting local nonprofits in New York and San Francisco that serve immigrant and refugee communities, including organizations working in legal services, resettlement, education, healthcare, and advocacy. The program brings Advisors and mission-driven organizations together for a single day of focused, in-person collaboration on projects chosen by the nonprofits themselves. The day's work is designed to help organizations build capacity, expand impact, and strengthen the support these communities need. Together, Advisors and nonprofits will create lasting, meaningful change for immigrant and refugee communities at a moment when it is urgently needed.
Volunteer Advisors will work closely with mission-driven organizations to address critical social issues across the U.S. Projects are designed to be collaborative and hands-on, allowing Advisors to apply their skills in areas like digital strategy, marketing, data management, and more.
Advisors will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on communities in the U.S., supporting nonprofits that are tackling challenges such as racial justice, reproductive rights, gender-based violence, and more. Your work will contribute to meaningful, lasting change in areas that resonate with you.
Participate in a program that not only allows you to give back but also helps you grow professionally. You’ll develop new skills, expand your network, and gain insights into the unique challenges and opportunities faced by U.S.-based organizations.
While the focus is on U.S.-based programs, Advisors will still experience cultural exchange by engaging with diverse communities, learning about the local context, and working alongside people from different backgrounds.
